With Open Hearts Place, you have the opportunity to build and make a difference in your community. Because of the help of people like you, we can improve and completely transform lives of those in our area. Through this transformation, families achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life.
As OHP grows we will need community members to help out with various projects in many different ways. We have opportunities for professionals to use their experience in construction, maintenance, operations, marketing, etc. As well as many jobs where no special skill is required.
Currently we are seeking volunteers to serve on our board, Allies who will work with our families, and volunteers interested in helping with construction, building maintenance, fundraising, and more:
Serving on our board is an opportunity to do even more for OHP.As a board member you are entrusted with the fiduciary responsibility to see that donor funds are well spent, and to protect their best interests and the best interests of Open Hearts Place. We are looking for individuals from all walks of life. Please don't hesitate to reach out.
Allies are mentors and friends to OHP participants. Each Ally is assigned to one participant. For participant couples, there are assigned to one Ally couple. Allies work in partnership with the Program Director and Case Manager to support participant success in life and in the OHP program. Allies are supported and supervised by the OHP Program Director. Other volunteers partner with us to assist in different parts of our mission. Volunteers have worked on building maintenance, construction projects, fundraising, and community awareness. Volunteers with special skills or interests have also helped in unique ways by bringing their specializations forward to support OHP's community impact.
